Introduce Yourself : Who The Hell is ... The Poundland Poe? by Paul David Brazill

Who The Hell is ... The Poundland Poe?

https://pauldbrazill.substack.com/

Paul D. Brazill AKA The Poundland Poe is A Spinner of Yarns. A Teller Of Tall Tales. A Fake German Heiress. A Part time Dilettante. A Flibbertigibbet, a Will-o’-the-wisp, a Clown. This/ That/ & The Other.

Well, I sometimes make stuff up and sometimes I even write it down. It’s not like working down a mine, to be honest. I was born in Hartlepool, England, and now live in Bydgoszcz, Poland. I have yet to be deported.

I’ve worked in a second-hand record shop and a toy shop. I once had a job on a government training scheme updating ordnance survey maps. It wasn’t as glamourous as it sounds. I’ve been TEFL teaching for ages.

My books include The Last Laugh, Guns Of Brixton: Double Barrel, and Gumshoe Blues. Oh, and there are a few other tasty snacks that you can find here.

My writing has, quite remarkably, been translated into Italian, Polish, Finnish, German and Slovene. Which is nice. I’ve had stories published in various magazines and anthologies, including The Mammoth Book Of Best British Crime 8, 10 and 11. How very la di dah!

One hell of a IY post, Paul. Fantastic to have you and your talents in the community. Spend a little time in the Authors Lounge. You clearly have much to offer.

Cheers mate, I still have no real idea what I'm doing, to be honest. Maybe it's better just to accept imposter syndrome or even embrace it? Stay free and keep on keepin' on! Paul.

We all experience imposter syndrome from time to time, Paul. But you should be quite proud of your output. All we can do is push through and share our knowledge and experience.
