Doing stuff

Wow, been almost a year since I posted anything here, but time flies and I've been busy. Going to selfpublish my first comicbook album through Amazon KDP now in December with some exclusive content not found on my website. Why selfpublish? Mostly because horror comedy comics isn't in demand from big press right now and most indie-press and small publishers wants to focus on superheroes and shared universes. And the industry is in turmoil, a lot of publishers are letting people go and rely more and more on freelance. Which is not boding well for Dark Horse Comics new media division that will focus on movies, tv-series and games.

Already had positive feedback from my beta readers when it comes to the album, among them both comic enthusiasts and non-comic readers. Tried to diversify so I could get a wider perspective and honest criticism.

Found some footing in the indie community, helping out by doing kickstarter trailers, guest comics and concept art. Hopefully I can get my pitch going and find animation studios willing to take on or consider a supernatural adult animation in the same vein as Archer or The Venture Bros. Working on a 30 second animation as an example of how it could look. I already got a pilot written to pitch and from the feedback I've gotten it's funny, personal and entertaining. So fingers crossed that 2023 might lead somewhere.

I really think my comic could translate well into animation and it has a diverse cast of characters and is character driven, telling stories about loss, broken families and loneliness in fun but also thought-provoking ways.

So I'll keep trying. Just wanted to share some of my indie accomplishments, hopes and dreams.
