All Tht Glistens Promo Trailer - Rought Cut!

A few weeks ago I discussed my plans to shoot a promo trailer for a limited series.

I wrote & I shot a promo trailer for ALL THAT GLISTENS a few weekends ago. This is still a rough cut that I will shave 30-45 seconds off. I will also make a 30- second teaser. But here is the mega-cut https://youtu.be/3WbD29KKnt0 any likes or comments on YouTube are appreciated :)

Rough cut has some great elements, already interested in lead characters and dig the Neo Noir Crime feel albeit it needs shaving as you say. The music is a good track but a continuous same beat throughout, I’d have some scenes no background music & some scenes music to depict change in status quo EG “shock” foleys and keep original track which is great for the general theme interspersed or at beginning & end. Just my two cents.

Great to see ALL THAT GLISTENS coming together, Wayne Hazle! I really like the video. It's suspenseful and gripping. The video makes me want to see the series.

Here are some things I noticed in the video:

#1) Trailers are usually in the 1-2 minute range. I suggest changing the description to "Proof of Concept." If you want to keep it as a Promo Trailer, I suggest cutting the video down to 1-2 minutes and focusing on the main elements of the series.

#2) I suggest changing ATG to ALL THAT GLISTENS in the title because people who see the title for the first time might not know what ATG means.

#3) At 2:02 in the video, there's a strange sound before the scene changes.

Great advice Debbie Croysdale ! Yes tweaking the music and where it appears is a great idea.

Maurice Vaughan all your words are on point! 4 minutes ain't no trailer :) I will check out that sound and yes I will actually have the title there when I have a copy I am promoting. I am currently trying to do a short 30 second TV commercial style one.

That sounds great, Wayne Hazle. Best to you on the short commercial-style trailer and your series. Can't wait to see it!
