Well done, Anne. When you say “There’s been a shift in the way that young boys are lowed to express themselves.” What do you mean? How did that motivate you to write this story?
Hi Anne Maree Durnan - what a great article! Congratulations on the feature! Here's a helpful blog about taking a novel to screen >> https://www.stage32.com/blog/authorsits-time-to-take-your-book-to-screen-2373
Are you doing the adaptation yourself or looking for collaborators?
Shellie Schmals...Thank you...I had this call, the executive read the treatment and synopsis, we had part of the session. He then agreed to read the children's novel and give feedback. It's been a month, I'll follow him up.
Was pleased with his positive suggestion he could see it as a feature or educational series. Thanks
Maurice Vaughan...Thanks mate! I hope to have a professional adapt it. I'll look forward to trying my hand, with minimal exposure/short courses and software in the future.
Geoff Hall... Appreciate your reply. I am in a twelve step fellowship and have enjoyed seeing men learn to get in touch with their feelings and be comfortable with sharing them. The wider world, has become more open minded, breaking stereotypes. Hoping to help that way of thinking to continue. It wasn't the motivation. The new world I saw and the characters motivated the story, then the way thought brought it to life. Thanks.

Love that description, Anne Maree Durnan ("This laugh-out-loud kid's adventure novel"). Are you planning on adapting the novel yourself?

You're welcome, Anne Maree Durnan. You can post an ad in the Job Section for a professional screenwriter (https://www.stage32.com/find-jobs). I also suggest checking the Browse Section (https://www.stage32.com/people).
I recommend the blog that Shellie Schmals mentioned.
