I've written a dark comedy book about 5 successful women in real estate. I read posts that different groups are looking for female lead-driven scripts, but I wrote a book, not a script. What is my next step to pitching or finding someone to pitch my idea. I've been told many times that it's perfect for a TV series. PS. I don't want to learn how to write a script myself. Happy New Year!

Hi, Nico Lundborg-Griffith. It's great to meet you.
You can hire a screenwriter to turn your book into a script and help you prepare a pitch. I suggest searching for screenwriters in the Screenwriting Lounge (www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting) and the Browse Section (www.stage32.com/people?name=&location=&roles=Screenwriter). You can also post an ad in the Job Section (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).
Stage 32 has an "Adaptation Review & 60 Minute Call with an Executive" that you might be interested in (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/coverage/buy?id=66).
Hope this helps. Happy Holidays! :D

Thanks David, yes Fannie Mae is a white Yorkie I rescued. My office loves her and she loves my office.

Hi Nico! If you’re not interested in writing the script yourself you can certainly let hire someone to do the adaptation. Do you have representation?

Hi Nico - it’s great to meet you here. I highly recommend this upcoming lab that will guide you and hold you accountable to write a female-driven TV pilot. Thanks Gigi, thanks for ure comments. I do not have representation. Yet. Finding an agent or publisher seems to be elusive

Thanks Sam, I'll definitely check out ure link. Instead of starting from scratch to learn script writing and make all beginner mistakes, I'd rather hire a professional for my best chance of getting my book showcased. What are ure thoughts?

I’d recommend posting in the screenwriters lounge here at Stage 32 and writing an email to our success team in the script services division to ask their guidance on sourcing a writer. Here is their email: success@stage32.com. Let me know if I can be of any other help.

Nico - I actually saw where some company was looking for a female-driven thriller....
Robert, thank you for your comment. I too have seen several, but it appears I need a script to pitch. My book isn't a thriller. It's a dark comedy. Reminiscent of Sex and the City but with murder and death interspersed.
