Hi! I am Rowan Fairs and I’m a writer/producer on a short film called Girls Camp! Girls Camp is a short film about two girls who fall in love at a Mormon church camp.
We wrote this film for all of the queer kids who repressed their true identity and were shamed into trying to be something they were not. We hope this film will be a beacon of light for those who have been told that who they are is “too much” or flat-out wrong. This feeling stems not only from our religious backgrounds but from being women and queer filmmakers pursuing careers in the arts.
I have written and am producing for the short film/proof of concept and finishing the feature-length script. Short shooting date: early spring 2023.
