It’s been a long time since I submitted anything to them, but personally I would stick to the big ones (Austin, oscars, page, etc). I don’t remember wanting to submit again after doing so once, so I must not have found it that helpful.
Shore Scripts is a respected UK screenplay competition. I think they're trying to expand their services. I expect their courses will be taught by knowledgeable folks.
Thanks, Sam,. I'm more interested in their course,"Finish Your Feature Screenplay than in their contests.. Looking to know if anyone is familiar with that course OR a similar oneanywhere? Thank you ,again, Sam.
Hi Jed Power - Stage 32 is the world class leader in entertainment industry education - we have the largest online library of webinars and classes taught by the top names in the business and we are the education partner of Netflix, Cannes, AFM and dozens of other film commissions and festivals around the world. I can guarantee you won't find better education anywhere. Have you looked in our education catalog yet? You can click the top menu bar and click "education" - but I'm happy to make recommendations for you. We have an interactive writing lab starting tomorrow with a development executive from Minds Eye Entertainment (they had a huge film deal at Cannes this year), and hundreds of webinars. Let me know what you are looking to learn and I can make some suggestions.
Thanks, Amanda, I'll check out Education drop down and see if there is anything similar. The title of the course seemed like just what I needed, if any good, because I am stuck with my Feature 1/2 way through.
Jed - we have an awesome webinar that will help you if you're at your mid-point: https://www.stage32.com/webinars/The-Secret-to-Cracking-the-Second-Act - this was taught by our former director of script services who was an executive on FLIGHT, BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, CONTAGION and more. I always recommend this webinar, such great practical advice you can apply to your script.

People’s experiences with them posted on Reddit can be found in threads with the search “shore scripts Reddit” such as this one; https://www.reddit.com/r/Screenwriting/comments/jhzwjx/shore_script/?utm...
Also, looking up every competition or fellowship, course, etc I submit to on Reddit has saved me a few times—maybe try that.
Incidentally, Austin is open right now for submissions.
Hope this helps!
