If you want world building tools get hold of my book. It is FREE for the next few days. There is an entire chapter on world building tools. Then in the final chapter we outline a SciFi film using the tools in the book, including the world building.
"Hold the Dark," an adaption from Jeremy Saulnier, is a movie with odd plot structure that many have criticized, but it builds a haunting setting that acts as a character, and that's what made it stand out for me
Sandman did a good job of this. Despite there being a huge and nuanced world to get to grips with, the audience is never overloaded with exposition and we can learn about the world at a pace that keeps it intriguing and deeply layered.

Extraordinary on Disney+. The worldbuilding was very subtly done and so effective.
