Hi Everyone. It's good to be here. This has been a long time coming; an unrequited love. Worked full time, raised three kids, started businesses, drove businesses in the ground, cared for the love of my life for years before he died in my arms. Guess it's my time to write what I want. It's never too late to chase your dreams. Make a vow to yourself, and I mean this wholeheartedly, vow that as long as there is still breath in your body that you will never settle for disappointment. We've all been there before. We've all tricked ourselves into believing that, somehow perhaps, we deserved not to be what we dreamed we'd be as children because someone else told us it wasn't "practical" or realistic. In my short time on this Earth, I've learned that most people project their fears on us, and we tend to believe them due to their proximity in our lives. It's never too late. Follow your dreams and write on.

Welcome to the Stage 32 community, Denise! The great thing about writing is that you can start doing it at any time in your life. It can be an outlet and a safe place when you need it most and it will never go away. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm married to my childhood sweetheart and I've been lucky to have him by my side for over half of my young life already. I hate to picture life without him. But it sounds like you have an incredible love story to use as drive and inspiration. I already can't wait to see what stories you decide to tell!
