My name is Ashley Smith and I'm the new Community Executive & Member Liaison here at Stage 32!
Prior to joining the incredible team at Stage 32, I spent nearly 7 years at a boutique development and talent management company, Marsh Entertainment, where I was deeply involved with every development project, management client, and administrative aspect of running the company. I oversaw a rich development slate of films, ongoing series, and limited series across genres and developed projects for Amazon, Sony TV, FX, Universal TV, Paramount TV, Legendary Global, MGM, A&E, Concord Originals, and many others. Some of the projects that I was involved with include Pose on FX, Vikings on History Channel, Vikings: Valhalla on Netflix, and the upcoming Sony/ITV series, The Winter King.
I was directly involved in acquiring the rights to a global bestselling book that I helped develop as a series adaptation that was successfully pitched and sold to MGM and FX. I had the honor of developing with some of the top screenwriters and best-selling authors in the business, providing thoughtful notes to improve all documents, pitch materials, and script drafts.
In 2017, I coordinated a Live Benefit Comedy Show, showcasing a rich lineup of A-List comedians including Ray Romano, Brian Regan, Bill Burr, Dana Carvey, Louie Anderson, Bob Saget, and Jon Lovitz, hosted by Arsenio Hall at The SabanTheatre.
In my free time, I love to binge-watch shows, travel, cook, puzzle, and play games (video games and board games) with my husband (my childhood sweetheart) and my sister. I'm also an avid comic book reader and rarely miss my weekly pull-box pick-up.
I couldn't be happier to be working at Stage 32, helping to build a global community within the entertainment industry. I'm so excited to get to know you all!

Hi Maurice Vaughan! I just got Peacock, so I was binge-watching the shows that I'd missed. I just got caught up on the first season of Dr. Death.

Ashley Renee Smith Hi Ashley! So honored to meet you and glad that you're here. We're in the midst of watching "The Blacklist" on Netflix. LOVE it that you're a comic book reader! My first published work was a graphic novel called, HAVEN OF DANTE where the nine circles have infiltrated every level of society and now it's up to the latest holder of the Dante mantle to thwart its plans. I recently finished up a screenplay based on it. Very glad to meet you and wish you all the best in everything you put your hand to!

I haven't heard of "Dr. Death," Ashley Renee Smith. I got caught up on "Abbott Elementary" and "Atlanta" the other day.

Maurice Vaughan, I LOVE Atlanta! What a great show!
Dr. Death was interesting and there's a second season coming out soon. It's based on a hit podcast about the true story of a star spinal surgeon in Texas who was performing dangerous surgical procedures on his patients and was criminally incompetent at his job. It's an unsettling subject matter but made for an interesting investigation into malpractice.

Leonardo Ramirez, what a cool graphic novel idea! I love Dante imagery! There was a Dante's Inferno video game made by EA back in 2010 that I raced out to get, just so that I could spend a weekend playing through the different circles of hell. It wasn't the best game, but I had a ton of fun playing it.

Tobey Alexander, I think your bio is plenty exciting! I'm going to have to get my hands on one of your Timothy Scott books, the series sounds fantastic!

Leonardo Ramirez, I've heard that, but I never got around to watching it.
"Atlanta" is one of my favorite shows, Ashley Renee Smith. It's really creative, and you never know what's going to happen.
Actually, now that you explained it, I think I've heard of "Dr. Death." When you first mentioned "Dr. Death," I thought it was a fictional Horror show or something. :D
