Besides the givens here of the higher budget and the fact my director's résumé is only no-budget feature stuff that wound up on YouTube, I'm riding on my board chops and some of the high-profile stuff I've been lucky enough to work on. That, and I have a screenplay that seems to be in the top one percent of all horror screenplays out there right now. It now has 8 wins and 14 placements in Screenplay Competitions & Film Festivals around the world. We do have first monies in but we have a waaays to go. The EXCITING up-side here is the content. The story. The screenplay – a missing ingredient in so much stuff out there these days. It’s been said that the screenplay has an ingredient from almost every horror film ever made in its pages. The reads I’ve been getting on it are exhilarating for a guy who never won a writing award before. That’s my post here in Financing/Crowdfunding - looking for a path to funding with a screenplay as proof in the pudding!
