Financing / Crowdfunding : Finished first Feature script by Noah Lindauer

Noah Lindauer

Finished first Feature script

Just finished the first feature script I've ever written. I started outlining around June of last year and the final draft just finished about 20 minutes ago! Very happy with how it's turned out and I'm looking forward to showing the world when it premieres on the big screen! The story follows three groups of High Schoolers on homecoming night struggling with conflicts in relationships with their parents, some friends, and even some drug dealers. The conflicts and relationships build up to the big party in the final act!

The film could easily be produced for $300-400k and I'm looking for ideas on where to start looking for funding.

Congratulations on finishing your first feature script, Noah! That's a big achievement. I don't really have any tips on where to find money, but keep at it. Good luck!

I also completed a feature 95 page script. So congratulations -- it is not easy to do. Here is my plan -- I am using stage32 to connect with producers to pitch my story. 1. I requested script coverage from executives that are in my genre 2. I am finding both written and voice pitch sessions to deliver the two page pitch document -- I'm still waiting for feedback. I am already on rev 4 of the script and I'm constantly refining dialogue and pacing. 3. Copyright the script -- others give advice on how 4. Submit the script to Film Freeway script contests -- they have a "deals" page where its really not expensive to enter 5. I just finished my "Pitch Deck" with 20 slides -- I plan to include this with the script and the two page pitch doc as a package when I finally make a producers connection. 6. As for funds -- anything above what you can personally can cover has to come from another source -- that is an investor or your Ex Producer/Producer -- I'm looking locally for investors looking to get into film -- but alas the economy is tough -- so patience. Good luck!
