My name is Jacqueline Anderson--Jacquie for short, and I am a screenwriter, director, and actress who wishes I had known how much I would love these things when I went to college. I have a degree in biology and though I'm glad I have it, I wish that at that time, I felt like I had the option to focus on the things that I loved instead of majoring in what I thought my parents would consider practical. Nonetheless, I found my way back to storytelling after college and have been pursuing it since graduate school. I worked for a while for National Geographic as a production coordinator which was great but, soon started directing theater and my own shorts. Additionally, I have been hired to direct independent sitcom pilots and adapt writer's books to screenplays. My personal projects focus on family-friendly, faith-based, and, inspirational storylines. I am currently directing an independent sitcom pilot and working on a new screenplay while constantly seeking to hone my skills.

Welcome Jacquie! I can relate to your wishing you'd followed your dreams in college. I have a B.A. in English...guess what I did with it? I became a teacher!! I actually really loved teaching, but I get most excited about storytelling, so I no longer teach English and am now writing screenplays.

Thank you all for your encouraging words! They mean so much. To answer your question, Kevin, I have been asked to direct a proof of concept and am also working on a separate screenplay. Thank you for asking. Again, thank you for welcoming me!

Great to meet you, Jacqueline Elise Anderson. Congratulations on being hired to direct indie sitcom pilots and adapt writer's books to scripts!!! That's cool that you worked for National Geographic. I used to read the books growing up. I remember the National Geographic Kids commercials. :)

Welcome to Stage 32! There is no timeline for storytelling... I would argue you're writing and stories are probably richer and more true to life with a unique perspective because you waited... Happy you're following your passion now!
