Screenwriting : Inktip Website by Steve Hayes

Steve Hayes

Inktip Website

Hi Everyone, quick question.... Do any of you post your scripts on the website Inktip.com? They claim to help get a screenplay into producer's hands and possibly get it sold. Do any of you subscribe to this or is it sort of futile? Thanks!

Steve Hayes Hi Steve - I don't post my scripts at all, just loglines. And with those, I place a note in the synopsis portion that states, "script available upon request". I've never used Inktip. S32 has enough opportunities to build relationships. And because I wouldn't want to spread myself too thin, I'm quite content with that. And in the end, that's what it's about - building meaningful relationships. Hope this helps.

Circa 2008 I sold a script through inktip that ended up being produced and airing on Syfy. At that time it was mostly lower end companies/producers and from what I can tell it's similar these days. So yes, I think it can potentially help, though I wouldn't expect a big payday. It's a tool like S32 and others.

I did, but with no success.

Thank you all for your comments. I don't think I should pay for this site, especially with the WG strike going on now. Doesn't seem like there's much confidence in it.

InkTip has had some success stories, Steve Hayes. I used to post my feature scripts on there, but I didn't get any requests. I'm still signed up for the free newsletter.
