Hi, everyone! I'm a novelist and creative writing teacher. I write original horror/dark fantasy and media tie-ins (such as the novelization of Halloween Kills), and I've traditionally published over 50 novels and 150 short stories. I'm also a three-time winner of the Bram Stoker Award given by the Horror Writers Association, and a two-time finalist for the Shirley Jackson Award. I'm 59, live in Dayton, Ohio, and have two adult daughters. My wife is a falconer and works in raptor rehab, so I often have wild birds in the house! I'm here to learn as much as I can from you all -- I was an acting major in college, and I still find everything to do with theater and filmmaking fascinating. I'm also hoping to connect with someone who'd be interested in taking a look at any of my work for possible adaptation.

Great to hear from you, Tim Waggoner. And what a prolific author you are! Well done. With wild birds in the house, I'll bet your horror stories practically write themselves. What are you currently working on?

I'm working on the second book in a trilogy for Aethon Books. It's an urban fantasy series that makes use of some elements from my horror novels. I hit 80K words this afternoon -- only 20K more to go! How about you? Are you working on anything at the moment?

Super cool bio but dropping that your wife is a falconer feels like it's a bit much. No one man should be so lucky. ;)

Tim Waggoner, I wonder if the 80/20 rule applies to writing as it does in project management: namely, that it takes 80% effort to finish the last 20% (not to be confused with the Pareto principle as it applies to economics) Either way, best of luck!
For me, I'm rewriting two of my latest scripts based on feedback as well as expanding my networking activities. Thx for asking!
