Greetings to my brothers and sisters in the screenplay writing quest. After my scrips were selected for 10 semi-finals and two awards in the US and international competitions, I am anxious to transition from an award winning screenplay writer to a paid screenplay writer. It seem to be a steep cliff to climb.
I do not yet have the privilege to be a member of WGA, but I support their efforts for fair treatment of writers..
Congratulations on all your success, Alexander Rosenstein!!!
Becoming a paid screenwriter can be hard, but it doesn't have to be. The key is building relationships/networking. Take me for example: I've gotten most of my paid jobs through Stage 32 by building relationships/networking in the Lounges and direct messages. And most of the time, I don't even ask for jobs. Producers, directors, etc. approach me with jobs. Build genuine relationships, and the opportunities will come.
Here's a great blog about how to network successfully on Stage 32: https://www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-network-successfully-on-stage-32-3356

Hi Alexander, nice to meet you! It's important to stand in solidarity with our fellow creatives, I agree. Someday you'll be there and will appreciate it as well! Be sure to check out the screenwriting lounge and you may also be interested in The Writers' Room. https://www.stage32.com/writers-room
