We're Joel and Valerie Reeves, a father and daughter writing team. We write short stories and long fiction independently, but enjoy collaborating on scripts. We enjoy watching movies and writing screenplays in a variety of genres, with most of our efforts leaning toward feature-length comedy and drama and darker stuff for shorts. We've enjoyed our short time on Stage32 so far, and look forward to meeting others in the biz.

Joel Reeves What a beautiful partnership! My daughter and I learned martial arts together and taught together for a number of years so I get the joy derived from sharing something that you both love. Awesome!

Hi Niki and Leonardo - we started talking about doing a quasi-autobiographical dramedy about "helicopter parenting" and decided to write a script together. It was fun and the characters were practically already formed.

That is so beautiful! My youngest son is directing my first short film in the fall. My plan is to savor every second of staying out of his way, lol. So glad you can enjoy the journey with your daughter.

Great to meet you, Joel Reeves. A father-and-daughter writing team is a great idea. I think you're the first father-and-daughter writing team I've met. Comedy is one of my favorite genres to write, especially on a rough day.
