Screenwriting : To pitch or not to pitch... by Sean McLaughlin

To pitch or not to pitch...

I'm just so confused about pitching. I've got a feature screenplay that has won several contests but have not heard from producers or agents, etc. I don't want to piss off the WGA or those people by sending out my script to producers. What to do? Should I just wait for them to ask for my script?

Hi Sean! In terms of pitching on Stage 32, you can read our strike statement here-- https://www.stage32.com/strike

You can also check out the WGA's site for the most up-to-date information on what they're doing -- https://www.wgacontract2023.org/

That said, if no one has reached out to you about your script, you have the rights, so keep making that material stronger!
