PE investments for Features

looking for input/advice when it comes to finding PE investors for features. I've seen it done many ways, I know theres no trick to it, any ideas on where to start or approaches. I have obtained PE investments before but just curios to get other perspectives.

I would recommend going to the larger markets - like Cannes, Berlinale and AFM and networking, there are a lot of PE that attend the markets. Additionally, we have a really great webinar about this: https://www.stage32.com/webinars/How-to-Approach-Investors

Be sure you understand the difference between active and passive investors and the applicable exemption from SEC registration requirements before inadvertently offering securities. Have a well-prepared film proposal/business plan, then follow up with a proper private placement memo for qualified investors.

People with whom the indie producer has an existing relationship are usually the first sources for equity film financing. For indie films, a prospective investor is backing the filmmaker as much as (or more than) the project unless it reflects some passion that the investor shares.

As always Dane Johnson has awesome advice. Thanks Dane!
