The question I’m going to ask may rub people the wrong way and I do apologize if it comes across as rude, but I’m going to ask it. Why does racism play a huge factor in the fact that black entertainers are struggling while other people are making it? I know black actors, writers, etc. from New York and California who have been struggling for years while seeing other ethnicities thriving.

I had answered your question, but I don't know why the answer is no longer here.
It has nothing to do with racism. Does someone forbid blacks to invest in making films and show them to the audience?

Racism plays a huge factor in the entertainment industry and probably every industry, Josiah Bhola Hillaire. But don't let that discourage you, and don't focus on it. Just become such a great writer that producers, production companies, etc. can't deny you and your scripts.

Josiah Bhola Hillaire Maurice Vaughan Josiah - Maurice is on to something there and it's the one thing that I've had to discipline myself in over the years. In a nutshell...do not focus on it. The moment you do, you create a platform based on a victim mentality and that's not good for perception. As minority myself, I've had all sorts of horrible things happen. But the key is not to focus on it, forgive and focus on YOUR growth, not someone else's. Focus on what you're doing. We are not victims. We are victors.

Maurice Vaughan Actually, it just came to me as I was writing the comment. The thought behind it about forgiving past racial offenders has been with me for years.

Josiah Bhola Hillaire Just like they've said, please don't dwell on it. The victim mentality is truly dangerous as it will prevent you from seeing problems you need to solve for you to succeed. Besides, there are a few blacks in the industry who have become household names. Hold on to the glimmer of hope that you, too, can become one of them. Imagine talking about how difficult it is for black people in New York and California to thrive in the industry while one black man all the way in Nigeria has his eyes set on Hollywood - yeah, that's me. Am I too optimistic? Unrealistic? Maybe, but as long as I don't give up, it's not impossible. That should apply to you, too.

Arthur Charpentier If he has a lot of money and he invests it himself, of course not.
Adelmo Carneiro Lessaare bankers not giving loans without collateral also because of racism? No, it's a business. people give money to those they trust. trust is not a category of racism. therefore, entering the film business with accusations of racism is not the best way to gain trust. this is not the best way to communicate at all. racism is a very serious accusation, like fascism and terrorism.
