Introduce Yourself : Reintroducing myself by Jeffery Ogata

Reintroducing myself

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I first posted here. I'm more of a lurker than writer but I always learn something when I read the posts. I've been taking lots of Stage 32 webinars and a few classes, which have been great. That has slowed my writing because I want to get all that wisdom before I get too deep into my next screenplays. But I've been using that new knowledge to polish 2 screenplays that I've been editing for a couple of years. I think they're getting better (I hope! Lol.) Thanks to those of you that have reached out in the past.

Nice to meet you, Jeffery! Happy you stepped out from the shadows this weekend. What type of classes/webinars have you taken recently? Hope you’re staying cool. Saw that Sacramento is headed for 108 tomorrow.

Morne Patterson

Hey Jeffrey welcome back!

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, Jeffery Ogata. What's your favorite webinar and class so far?

Richard "RB" Botto

Truly glad you stepped out, Jeffery Ogata and it's very cool to hear that you are reading and learning from the IY post of other Stage 32'ers. Hopefully you're sending some networking requests as well!

Also thrilled to hear you're getting a benefit out of Stage 32 Education!

Hi Jeffrey - it’s great to meet you here in the community! I’m the Director of Education here at Stage 32 and I’m overjoyed to hear that you’re getting so much out of the webinars and classes that you’re taking! If I can ever recommend any of our education for you or be of any help on your Stage 32 journey please reach out to me directly at edu@stage32.com.

David Horton

Hi Jeffery Ogata thank you for posting! What webinars do you recommend?

Jeffery Ogata

Hi Ty, thanks for reaching out. Yes, Sacramento is very hot. But AC really helps. And it's a dry heat (that's our inside joke around here).

David and Maurice, my favorite class so far is the 4-week subtext class by AZ Yeamon. She was wonderful and the substance was great. I thought I knew something about subtext but I learned a ton. I'm going back to edit my screenplays to see where I can fit her lessons in.

Webinars: How to Write a Killer Psychological Thriller, How Pros Rewrite and Polish.

I hope I can view purchased webs for longer than a year because I still have several I have to get to!

Sam, thanks for you help in the past. You've always been very responsive and helpful.

RB, thanks for reaching out. I'm frankly surprised that you make the time to look at these posts, but that says alot about you and Stage 32.

Morne, thank you.

Ty Strange

I agree, Jeffery Ogata, AZ's subtext class was awesome!

Richard "RB" Botto

Glad you highlighted AZ, Jeffery Ogata. That's one fantastic class. The rewrite and polish webinar is phenomenal as well.

And, you're more than welcome. As I say in my welcome email, we're all in this together.

Maurice Vaughan

I could learn more about subtext, Jeffery Ogata. I'll look out for AZ's next subtext class. Thanks for letting me know.

Jeffery Ogata

Maurice, I'm pretty sure you won't regret it. She made it seem so easy to do it well, like most experienced professionals in any field can do.

Ty Strange

Yeah, Jeffery Ogata and I worked together on an assignment in a breakout session during class. We had a lot of fun!

Asmaa Jamil

Loved reading this as I am also a lurker. I am writing and learning at the same time.

Jeffery Ogata

Asmaa, well, maybe we can network and trade notes? Happy to connect.

Richard "RB" Botto

Hopeful you're inspired to be a lurker no longer, Asmaa!
