Matilde Lestrange - Peruvian Screenwriter

Hello, fellow Stage 32 members!

It's a pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Matilde Carreón García (@MatildeLestrange), I am a Peruvian screenwriter and philosopher.

Ever since I can remember, I have been passionate about creating stories. This led me to write my first book at the age of twelve and to produce my own film projects from a very young age. In addition, my love of reading and reflection led me to study philosophy, a career that I deeply enjoy and that enriches my writing with a critical and profound approach. My duty is to create content that resonates with readers, sharing complex experiences that have touched my life and trying to give a voice to those who don't usually have one.

Throughout my career, I have focused on a variety of genres, including drama, romance, dark comedy, and psychological thrillers. These genres provide the perfect canvas for me to construct powerful plots and delve into the intricacies of complex characters and strange worlds. Whether it's the emotional depth of drama, the intricate dance of relationships in romance, the dark humor that dissects social norms, or the psychological twists and turns that keep audiences on the edge of their seats, I aim to leave them wanting more.

My journey in the world of storytelling has been varied. I have gained valuable experience working for a variety of companies in the entertainment industry, including film production, digital magazines, advertising agencies, and social media content creation. This wide range of experiences has enriched my perspective and given me a deep understanding of the nuances of different audiences, especially LATAM-based.

In addition, my writing skills extend beyond the realm of screenwriting. I am adept at creating poetry, prose (including short stories and novels), and screenplays for various formats including short films, feature films, plays, and television series.

I also have received some awards from various festivals and competitions, including finalist and winner of some of my projects still available, I have short and feature films in development. Some already out of the oven, others still cooking.

My ultimate goal is to establish a prominent presence in the international entertainment industry and share my stories with a global audience. The allure of captivating hearts and minds across cultures, transcending boundaries and touching souls on a universal level has always been my lifelong dream. And I am convinced that not only am I on the right path, but that this is the only path for me.

I would be delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new stories, confident that my creativity and problem-solving skills will add significant value to any creative endeavor. If you are looking for something different, unconventional, and truly unique, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am here to collaborate and bring fresh perspectives to the table.

What a wonderful introduction, Matilde Carreón García-Bedoya . I love that your storytelling is so diverse through different mediums. I was an international marketing manager for a record company and I very much enjoyed working with the people of Peru. They were so very kind. "The Order of Orion" also sounds very interesting. Glad you're here with us. Welcome to Stage 32!
