I was introduced about Stage 32 when I was attending events at HollyShorts. My script, My Friend Moon, placed in the semifinalist round. It was my final project for the college beginner screenwriting workshop, so I can't wait to see how people like my final projects of my other workshops. I am pretty new to the screenwriting world; I was forced to retire from the Army Reserve, and I found myself being able to explore my passion for writing. I like to write about military and veteran experiences, but I have a passion for sci fi and fantasy like Star Wars. My dream would be to write for Lucas Film like for Tales of the Jedi. Thank you for your time.

Welcome to the Stage 32 community, Steph Kalota! We're so excited to have you here!
Congratulations on your script being a semifinalist! Thats amazing!
The best way to network here on Stage 32, is just to put yourself out there by posting, commenting, and connecting with people from all over the world. The most effective networking comes from building genuine relationships over time. A great way to start is by checking out the Screenwriting Lounge where you can join discussions, pose questions that you may have, provide advice or insights, and share news/announcements that interest you.
You can find the lounge through the toolbar at the top of your browser window. Simply click on "Lounge", which will direct you to a new page listing all of the current lounges available to you. Then select "Screenwriting". I hope to see you over there!

Welcome, Steph Kalota! Very impressive for you to place as a semifinalist as someone who identifies as being new to screenwriting!

Welcome to the community, Steph Kalota. I thought that was a "Star Wars" helmet when I saw your picture. That's a cool helmet.
Here's a great blog for up-and-coming screenwriters I think you'll like: www.stage32.com/blog/the-questions-up-and-coming-screenwriters-need-to-a...
