Hello Everyone!
I'm about to start my first semester at Biola University as a Cinema Media Arts Transfer Student with an emphasis in Directing! I can't wait to learn and be humbled. If you know of any good internships in the La Mirada or LA area... let me know!
Also, any advice for a student in film school?

Love the photo! Good luck Jordan. Advice, hmm.... Take time to learn about the craft of every department. It'll make you a way more versatile director who's easy to work with.

Jordan Chan, Joanna's advice is spot-on! Don't limit yourself to only directing on your film school projects. Immerse yourself in as many different set roles as you can to get a full grasp and understanding of the process. Also, as a director, I suggest looking into any acting classes that your school may have that could fit with your schedule and try to take at least one a year. Understanding the acting process will help you communicate more clearly as a director.

My advice to any student is to take the opportunity to do all sorts of things that are waaaay out of your comfort zone. Not only does it expand you, but once you start working it's often hard to find those opportunities in a work environment. You titled this learning to fly - that's the perfect title. Learning to fly is difficult, takes you totally out of yur comfort zone and teaches you to rely on yourself - perfect! (I know because I got my pilot's license a few years ago.)
