Loglines for TV episodes

Hi All,

So a number of you have suggested adding loglines to my profile. I have 3 episode scripts for a tv show, and thus three loglines.  Should I add each episode separately or include them all together?

Thanks, Will :)

Hi, William Smith. Set them up the way you would like them presented. There are no hard-n-fast rules.

One additional thought: Since each of your current loglines are specific to an episode, you could also create a logline that covers the overall series as well. I see that a lot on the streamers where the over all series has a logline, then when you drill down to the episodes they each have a their own logline.

Hey William, I agree with Ty. You should also add a logline for the Series. When pitching TV you usually pitch the pilot and the overall series so an overall logline is good!

If the episodes are in sequential order, I would do as Ty suggested.

William Smith, here's an example from a TV series that, for some strange reason, has made a comeback on Netflix, SUITS (2011–2019).

From IMDB.

Series concept: On the run from a drug deal gone bad, brilliant college dropout Mike Ross finds himself working with Harvey Specter, one of New York City's best lawyers.

Episode 1: A "closer" for one of New York City's most successful law firms decides to hire an aloof genius, who has passed the bar but never gone to law school, as his associate.

Episode 2: While Harvey discovers that the judge in his patent case has a personal vendetta against him, Louis tries to blackmail Mike in order to get his help bringing in a valuable client.
