1 Crazy Thing Actually Happened After Auditioning - Glad It Did
It happened after auditioning for the TV show Gotham
Sometimes, after auditioning, actors receive a callback, booked, asked to hold dates, pinned and still never get a chance to work on the project.
After I auditioned for the TV show Gotham, something great happened. Watch the video and learn. If you ever had an interesting experience after auditioning, share it with others.
Another great video, Aaron Marcus! I like that you don't try to just audition. You try to give the look as if the scene is actually being shot. I think that mindset will help actors give better performances.

Thank you, Maurice. And, most importantly, never try to book the job. Just enjoy the audition - period.
You're welcome, Aaron Marcus.

Great video Aaron Marcus and your advice is not only great for acting but in life as well, "be open. you never know what opportunity will come your way." As actors, we know sometimes, you have to pivot.
Btw, I love Homicide:Life on the Street. So jelly you worked on it!

Thank you so much Suzanne. I also loved working on that show. I loved the first few seasons. After some of the characters left, the show really changed. But, that was David Simon's first entry into HBO. The show was based on his book which was written after shadowing homicide detectives for over a year. He has gone on to create some of the best shows on TV, like The Wire.
Thank you again.

Yes I am familiar with David Simon. And I agree recasting Homicide changed the show. However, he brought us the wonderful character of John Munch who lived on in two shows, played the wonderful Richard Belzer who has moved on to his next life but we can remember him SVU.

Belz was an amazing stand-up. Absolutely loved his Mick Jagger impressions. And, how he was able to land the SVU spot was truly amazing. Sad that he left us too soon.
