I was walking my dog recently and wrote a song in my head that I thought would be a musical theater piece. It sort of is. But, it would make a great animated short. It is about a baker who shares stories and advices with each pastry.
The vision I have of the animation is that the screen is blank, then a hand begins to do a pen and ink drawing of the bakery, which then becomes a full color tableaux. The story - song (I'll sing it) walks us through the different scenes.
I want to plan it as a short that can be submitted to contests, etc.
The music has been vetted by an established songwriter and (former) Grammy nominee.
I am looking for funding.
Anybody want to collaborate with me?

Always difficult to find someone to share your passion project and work for free! Most animators have their own passion projects already. But I won’t say you shouldn’t ask!
You might consider recording a demo and writing down the beats of the story to get started. Easier to explain to potential artists with those materials.
Hi, Lora-Ellen McKinney. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Animation Lounge to the Your Stage (www.stage32.com/lounge/promotion).
The Animation Lounge isn’t a place to find an animator. It’s a place to discuss Animation, share content about Animation (like how-to videos), interact with fellow animators, and offer tips/advice on Animation technique, trends, software, and other things related to Animation.
Collaboration posts can go in the Job Section (www.stage32.com/find-jobs), in the Your Stage Lounge, and on Your Wall.
You could also search for an animator in the Browse Members Section (www.stage32.com/people?name=&location=&roles=Animator).
Let me know if you have any questions. I think that'd be a fun animated short. Hope you find an animator!
