Sourcing Royalty-Free music for short film

Hi. Where is a good website to source music (at a decent price) for a short film that I am hoping to sell to a distributor?

Ty Strange

Hi, Buck Estes. I sampled a handful before subscribing to Artlist. Reasonably priced and great variety!

Here are some others I looked over.

Buck Estes you could also get an up-and-coming composer to write something for you for a decent price. Composers starting out will be happy to do it for the credit and a little bit of dough and you would then get something bespoke. And most composers have music in their back catalogues that they would be happy to license. Maybe reach out to some composers on this platform....

I can subscribe to that. Give those young music composers a chance. They are present on the web with their personal pages and lots of music excerpts from their catalogue to get an idea of the style and genre they are working in!

I second Pond5 - it is a great resource used by many of my colleagues.

Love that idea, Arhynn Descy!
