I've been hanging around for over a month now, so it's high time I do an intro. I'm DT Houston. L.A.-based Feature writer & producer. I'm busy writing specs, pitching, optioning IP when I see something I'm interested in or passionate about, and basically grinding on the journey of trying to create & make cool movies and forge a little space for myself in this industry. I have diverse tastes, influenced by a life of interacting with all different types of people, and a sports background that inherently requires true collaboration to achieve success. I'm interested in meeting and connecting with like-minded people who understand and appreciate that nobody makes it in this business on their own. It's a team game. As such, Stage 32 really is a super cool place. Glad to now be among RB's "Creative Army!" Fight on... write on...

You're welcome, DT Houston. I appreciate it. "Head Hustler at Bulletproof Train." I like that! You played/play basketball. Do you have a college, NBA, and/or WNBA team?

Maurice Vaughan Injuries derailed the dream before much liftoff. Northwestern. My boy's on track for 6'3/6'4" and he's built like an NFL Tight End. HE injures others, mostly by accident! The Next Gen is comin'! :>)

Sorry to hear injuries derailed your dream, DT Houston. I like Northwestern's colors. The Northwestern men's basketball team is #25 in the AP rankings this year. It sounds like your son's a force.

Maurice Vaughan he is indeed. My days are numbered before he'll be killing me. Wildcats are def on the upswing now. I've got more purple than Prince had -- lol. (Maybe not, but still a lot.)
Haha DT Houston. Wasn't Northwestern doing great in college football a few years ago?
Yes Maurice Vaughan they were. Went South with a couple down years and then a nasty, racially disgusting hazing scenario & bad sh** going on w/those in power looking the other way. They cleaned out the house, so who knows when it turns around. That stuff has lasting residue...

Ah man, DT Houston. I didn't know all of that went on. My main college football team is Alabama. Hope Alabama gets to play Northwestern one day.

I don't remember when Alabama became my main college football team, DT Houston, but I remember first hearing about them when I was clothes shopping for my freshman year in high school. I saw on your profile that the Clippers is your NBA team. Harden, George, Leonard, and Westbrook! What a group!

Welcome, DT Houston ! "nobody makes it in this business on their own" is pure gold. I couldn't agree more. I moved to LA from Italy on my own in 2017 and I wouldn't be a full time composer without the support of the amazing "filmmaking family" I built (and keep building) here.

Thank you Stephanie Munch. Nice to meet you, too. We creative types so often work in a bubble, doing our stuff that we do, that it can feel like a solitary endeavor. But it's really not. We need others along the way. Many others!

Thank you Geoff Hall. Best wishes for your holidays, as well. I'm currently putting together Jeff Buckley, a compelling music biopic I've penned on the iconic 90s musician, who died in 1997 at age 30. It'll be a good one. Thought I had a director, but he decided to do a labor of love project he's had on his slate for 15 years. Anton Corbijn would be my dream helmer. So, pretty busy there, hustling. Just finished a smaller, personal story. Family Comedy. Modern take on Guess Who's Coming To Dinner, based upon my own experience of being secretly bought home to meet The Family during a Summer Reunion. I flipped it to star a female. It's called The Gospel According To Flo. Wrote it with Diana Ross in mind to come back to the big screen and play The Matriarch, Mama Flo, who's none too happy with her baby boy. It's a music-centric affair. Just getting it going. Miss Ross the Boss, who's writing a movie for her...? Uh, me. Somebody let her know! You'll be my new best friend. :>)

Hi Elena Maro, thank you for posting. That's a very big move in 2017. Congratulations. Everything I do has a very strong musical element to it, even when it's not a music-specific project. It's more about how I'm wired as a thinker, and, to me, music is very much a component of character, not just something that's a separate thing. And Music Composers are SO important to how films feel and how they breathe. How they impact. Just another reason why I always say "nobody makes it in this business on their own." Great to meet you Elena Maro

Thanks D A Stenard. Beautiful. Appreciate that. There's still quite a worldwide fan base for Buckley, as he was strongly embraced by France, Australia, UK, many places outside the USA...
