My first book, WAR SERENADE a WWII epic saga was once a screenplay which was twice optioned for a movie but due to rotten luck was not made. I became a novelist and ZEBRA is my second book, also inspired by true events. A young white boy and a Zulu pre-teen become best friends in the mountains of South Africa during the apartheid era. When one saves the others life, they become Zulu blood brothers. But society ruthlessly wedges them apart, leaving them broken and bereft. They meet again a decade later on opposite sides of a raging battlefield. Can only one survive or is blood thicker than water?

nice work
I've thought about turning some of my feature scripts into novels, Jill Wallace. And some of my short scripts into short stories.
Hi Dan I found script to novel process exhilarating and now I can't go back. It's liberating to have PAGES and pages for protagonists to THINK and oh, to ruminate over the sunsets. Writing novels really brought my story to the next level. Give it a whirl. It's awesome.
