Death, the uncharted territory we've attempted to explain and explore through numerous stories and countless movies. There are various lenses through which we try to comprehend this subject. One undeniable aspect is that our world is fundamentally made of matter and energy, and so are we. Since energy cannot be destroyed, we undergo transformation from one form to another. While we can't predict the specific form of energy we'll become, the essence of who we are continues.
The reason I'm reflecting on this is my mother's battle with cancer over these past few years. Finally, doctors have given us the warning of her last few days with us. Since writing is my way of understanding and processing things, I want to believe that after her departure from this existence, her journey will begin anew in another place. There, she'll find happiness, fulfillment, and become whole.
These final days also serve as a reminder of why we often wait so long to express and process our feelings with each other. Why do we delay until the last moments, when memories rush in like a speeding light? Why wait to say 'I love you' and 'thanks for the gift of life'?
I wish her a peaceful journey until we meet again.
Love, Nastaran

Death forces us to confront ourselves, to question the very existence of life. But, also to celebrate it.

There is no death. Our physical body dies, yet our energy goes on to a new body. I am certain Nastaran Nouri you will still be hearing from your mother even after her physical body dies and her soul moves to a new plane of existence. I'm sorry you're losing your mother in this present time and space, but I am certain in the years to come you will have more stories about she has shown up for you in other ways.
Thank you for your words Jacqueline Sandee Valle

Yes, I've never experienced anyone passing close to me, and I agree Marcel Nault Jr. , it often makes you step back and think of the bigger and deeper picture.

Thank you for your kind words Suzanne Bronson . I believe she will come and be able to guide her children as she always wished but couldn't accomplish in her lifetime.
