It's a dream of mine to see my work in a movie. Who can make that come true?
I've been a self-employed artist since 2010. I work mostly in metal but the majority of my pieces are mixed media. I have a few media credits to my name, but to date they have only been for small pieces. Nothing that I can really get my teeth into.
This is the sort of thing I do, and I want to see it in a movie.

Wow, that was pretty mesmerizing James Ewing. Very cool and well designed! This is such an interesting niche to inhabit, and plenty of films can use these types of services. This will hopefully yield some positive results for you!

Thank you Nick Phillips. It would be great to be involved with a project that would use my work. I recently saw the latest Indiana Jones film and wish I had the chance to build the Dial Of Destiny. It was the first thing to cross my mind when I saw it on screen.

Your work needs to be displayed in a project, film or TV. Immeasurable talent!

Thank you Billy Kwack This piece took me roughly three months from innitial concept through design and problem solving to completion. So it has quite a high price tag.
However, things would be different if I were asked to create something like this for a production. If I am supplied with designs and a rounded brief, it would cut the production time down considerably. This piece took so long because it was all my own work from beginning to end.

Wow...just...wow. You have a gift so few have today... I can not imagine the time you put into this, such a complex and integrated effort. Very impressive indeed. Best of luck to you... You are in the right place to get exposure for your work. Best of luck to you! Maybe you should consider a youtube channel showing your work, and maybe some videos on how you produce your work. Might develop a signifiant following...I would follow you!

It's hard to tie it down to a single piece Maurice Vaughan For the past nine years I have done nothing but commissioned work. The piece in the video is the last piece I made for myself and that was in 2015.
I think of all the commissioned pieces I have done, the Yemaya Dagger was probably my favourite.

Thank you Curt Samlaska. I have given some thought to starting a youtube chanel, I just need to learn how to make interesting videos. Also, as I said previously, I've done nothing but commissioned work for the best part of a decade. I have decided to start doing things differently this year however, and I will be concentrating on a very long list of things that I have wanted to make for years. With that in mind, it might be time to set up a chanel and build an audience.

Amazing, awe-inspiring work, James Ewing ! I'd think there'd be a special niche for this in film. DO you ever get calls for steampunk pieces, as well?

Thank you Robin Gregory. I have been followed by many Steampunks over the years but very rarely asked to make anything for them. More than anything, the Flat Earthers seam to like the piece in this video quite a lot. It has been shared many times by people convinced that it is an ancient artefact and therefore cast iron proof that the earth is flat.
It always make me chuckle.

Thakn you Maurice Vaughan. I learned quite a lot while making that piece. I think that's why I like it. I always enjoy a piece that gives me an opportunity to expand my skill set. It has always been a philosophy of mine to design something that I don't know how to make, then teach myself how to make it.

Sounds interesting Leonardo Ramirez. This piece is actually featured in a book I'm attempting to write. This device si carried by a character called Nathaniel and he uses it to navigate a parallel dimension.

It's funny that you mention it Linwood Bell, but I do usually carry it in my pocket. When people ask me what I do, it is far easier to show them than it is to try and explain.

Love that, James Ewing. How far along are you in your book?

James Ewing Once it's out of your pocket do you ever frighten them with a "I'm from another dimension; another time. Would you like to join me there?"

Really not very far Leonardo Ramirez. I have three books roughly planned out and I have started writing a little, but I rarely get time to sit and put pen to paper. The last decade has been spent in my workshop.
The main story stretches over three books but there are several characters along the way that could easily spawn their own spin-off stories.

I must admit that I've never tried that Linwood Bell. I might have to give it a go sometime.

James Ewing You're a Reality Show just waiting to happen. Kind of like The Repair Shop, but with film makers needing this type of genius for their film. Some backstory, a movie star or two, and you in your workshop inventing, creating with such fine detail....Man, I'm a buzzard perched on Netflix waiting for Season 2!
