Hi, I am looking for a writing buddy or two. We each would work on our own screenplays. There is a great tool to help get writing done that Julia Cameron calls "sandwich calling". Two people pick a time and call each other and each talks for 2 minutes, the other does not comment and gives them all their attention. Then they switch. Then they hang up and work for a set amount of time, say an hour. At the end of the hour, they call each other and check in the same way as in the beginning of the session. It is an amazing tool for getting writing done. This is how I wrote my first screenplay. I used zoom to check in. Please message me if interested in trying this out.

Would it be like a table read or a "pitch" of sorts?

Hi Marcel, no, it would be just writing. You would work on your script and I would work on mine. This loose structure makes you accountable to write. And also inspiring, because you know the other person is writing too.

I've never heard of this tactic, but it sounds really fun! I'm gonna have to try it out soon :)
