Your Stage : Hi All! by Tom Firestone

Tom Firestone

Hi All!

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My day job is that I am a motion designer for film and television. I am currently working on season 2 of The Night Agent. Prior to that I"ve worked on The Blacklist, Person of Interest, Adam Sandler's new film Spaceman, Star Wars: I & II, Deep Impact, Dante's Peak, Quantum Leap (season 2) and American Horror Story (season 12) to name a few projects.

Of course, why we are all here, I'm aiming at working as a professional screenwriter. Our newest script, SAFARI, just received Stage 32's Double Recommend and we couldn't be more pleased. We've been working on it tirelessly for the past 5 months. Not to mention, the initial draft was written in Paris in 1999!

Here's a link to the site if anyone wants to check out the project: https://safari-pitch.com

Logline:

In a futuristic culture consumed by interplanetary safaris and hunting extraterrestrial wildlife, a morally conflicted guide embarks on one final expedition, only to discover that his group has become the prey.

Format: Feature Screenplay (110 pages) + Pitch Deck

That's about it folks. Hope everyone is well and making progress on their current script.

Hi Tom, awesome, I love sci fi imagination

Asmaa Jamil

Hello and what a story. I love this and it makes me think I have a lot to do to my scripts. Everything is well written. A great story.

John William Blaney

Great stuff!

Sallie Olson

Ooooo, you've worked on some of my favorite movies! <3

Tom Firestone

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It’s been a very fun project to develop.

Wendy Weising

Welcome, Tom. Your story sounds so interesting.

Jack Teague

Sounds cool!

Maurice Vaughan

Great to meet you, Tom Firestone. Congratulations to you and Martin on the Double Recommend! And congratulations on all your success! "Safari" sounds exciting!

"Deep Impact" was one of my favorite movies growing up. I plan on checking out "Spaceman" today.

Tom Firestone

Thanks all! Maurice: Deep Impact was a fun project. My job was getting the actors in and out of the astronaut suits and I would age them based on the scene they were filming. We shot on the Paramount Lot, Stage 15 (their largest stage). The asteroid set took up 90% of the stage floor.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Tom Firestone. That's pretty cool! And it must've been hectic! I'm guessing only blockbuster movies are shot on Stage 15 because of its size.

Leonardo Ramirez

Love the logline, Tom Firestone and congratulations on your body of work! We are actually watching “The Blacklist” now.

Tom Firestone

Hey Leonardo! Thanks! That's funny, you're watching The Blacklist!

I'm working on The Night Agent season 2 now.

Maurice Vaughan

Wow! Incredible shots, Tom Firestone! Thanks. I wanna go watch "Deep Impact" again. I didn't get a chance to watch "Spaceman" yesterday, so maybe a 'Deep Impact" "Spaceman" double feature.

Pat Alexander

Some of y'all are too good at using Midjourney. I'm gonna need some tips soon!
