Yes, great!! I mean I saw the first three episodes yesterday. Also saw the versions that came before. This is the best, yet! It's not as polished, and I like that. the lead is more believable too; less handsome, more flawed, what you see is what you get figure. Only the part about the "three hearts" a person has was bit over the top. Not even needed to explain in dialog, because it is already acted out.

"Shogun" is near the very top of my TV watchlist, Nick Phillips. I've heard incredible things about it, and Hiroyuki Sanada is in the show.

I read the book and watched the old min-series but not the new one. James Clavell was a masterful writer, but the mini-series was not so masterful. Hope the new one is well done.

BLOODY BRILLIANT!!! Watched the first two episodes. Emmy and Golden Globe wins are in SHOGUN's future. I firmly believe Hiroyuki Sanada will be nominated and win awards.

Yes. One of the reasons I started to watch this series is because I saw it's with Hiroyuki Sanada - one of my favorite japanese actors. I started to watch the third episode. I think I like this series. Maybe you could check it out. Have a good day!

I'm only 5 months late to the game but finally watching SHOGUN! Such a beautiful production! What I'm also impressed with is all these great actors whom I don't know, shows me you don't need superstars to make a show like this. If you slow to watching like me, check it out now. :)
