Who's ready for the Academy Awards this weekend?! Which award are you looking forward to the most? Any "underdogs" you're rooting for? Think one movie will sweep? I'm looking forward to Supporting Actress, Animated Feature, Production Design and both Screenplays. And yes, I'm rooting for Barbie in many things :)

I'm looking forward to Best Original Screenplay, Adapted Screenplay, Picture, Director, Cinematography, Actor, and Actress the most, Niki H. I haven't watched any of the Oscar-nominated movies yet (I'm behind!), but I plan on watching "Oppenheimer" and "Poor Things" this weekend before the Oscars.

Also rooting for Barbie! And I’m excited for the best picture winner, I predict Oppenheimer for that one.

Perhaps a surprise or two. Stone deserves Actress. Amazing work.
It's a night for "Oppenheimer." It'll take home eight.
Adapted: "American Fiction" by a nose.
Original: "Anatomy of a Fall." Eh, okay. Should be "The Holdovers."
Hopefully Nolan will get slapped for his past sins in burying dialogue in the mud. Well deserved, too.

Lets see there's the depressing one I haven't seen and the other depressing one I haven't seen and the socially important one I haven't seen and then there's Godzilla which I wanted to see but they were only showing it in the high priced VIP screens so bollocks to that.

I always hope for surprise or dark horse winners. Alas, I’m usually disappointed.

Do you know if all Oscar nominees get gift bags, or that is only for Actors & Directors?

Tabitha Baumander I laughed at your comment. I always feel that way too. My bet is always the one that manipulated my emotions the most, wins. lol. Dan - I think only Director and Actors get the gift bag. Though technically it's not actually affiliated with the Academy.

I was so happy to see Anatomy of a Fall win for best original screenplay. It was such terrific writing!
