Hey, all, I'm Stephen Notley and this is my introductory post. I'm a cartoonist, a game designer, a would-be screenwriter, and a longtime script analyst, and I'm here to chat with all you lovely Stage 32 people. LET THE CHATTING COMMENCE!
With a title like "PSYCHIC SPACE MONSTER," what can go wrong?! It should have taken the blue pill, and not visit Earth. I"m gonne check your screenplay out.
Maurice Vaughan Ha! Thanks. And yep, Bob is my thang, has been for 30-odd years. It even got me an Inkpot Award at San Diego Comic-Con last year (though I suspect they gave it to me more as a "20 year longservice" thing for exhibiting at the show so long rather than any love for my cartoon).
Rutger Oosterhoff Ha! Appreciate the PSM title love. Throughout the whole writing process it was called "Dominant," aiming for a kind of spooky high-class horror vibe, but then I thought, jeez, if somebody's reading a list of 50 script titles, which one's gonna stand out more, "Dominant" or "Psychic Space Monster"? At least this way you're not wondering if it's some 50 Shades of Grey BDSM thing, which it thoroughly is not.
Hello, Stephen Notley! First and foremost, "though I suspect they gave it to me more as a "20 year longservice" thing for exhibiting at the show so long rather than any love for my cartoon" -- don't do that! You got that award because you effin deserved it! Stage 32 is a GREAT place to meet like-minded creatives and learn tips on enhancing your craft. Welcome, and It's great to meet you!

Tell us all more about being a cartoonist! The closest we’ve gotten to that is when Mark Simon taught about story boarding for us https://www.stage32.com/education?p=8944884515123
I’d love to know more about your cartoonist world, that sounds so interesting!
