My name is Barry McDivitt and I’ve had some modest success as a scriptwriter. I’m a former TV journalist with a major Canadian network. I covered news and sports and my reports often went national and international. I’ve also worked in government and corporate communications. So far I’ve had three novels published by a traditional publisher and optioned a couple of full length screenplays to an independent film company without benefit of an agent. (It seems neither is likely to be made for financial reasons.) I’ve been polishing a number of screenplays and one is in the semi-finals of the Page to Pitch competition for female driven scripts. Another just got a good review from an established producer, who had it critiqued by one of his readers. (The producer specializes in horror, so he declined.)
I’ve done a lot of free beta reading for both established and new novelists and would like to make contact with screenwriters interested in swapping scripts (for free). I’d love to join your network if you are interested.

I would be up for that. My day job is in corporate comms, and before that I was an editor and publisher of academic books.

Impressive work! I would like to network with you. I'm looking for someone with your kind of experience to look at my scripts.
