Acting : When You Must Reject an Acting Job by Aaron Marcus

When You Must Reject an Acting Job

There are times when all actors must turn down an acting job.

Use the link below to watch the video

This holds true for filmmakers and other creatives.

Out of nearly 1,300 jobs I have only turned down around 6 offers.

It is hard getting auditions and even more difficult booking a job.

So, when one is offered to us, it is extremely hard to say no.

But, as you will learn in the video, there are times when turning down

an offer is a smart business decision. And, sometimes it is a smart

mental health choice.

If you ever turned down a job or audition, please share it so we can all

learn from you as well.

And, if you liked the video,: https://youtu.be/gjU2UTqvn6Qplease share the link with your fellow actors.

Can't wait to talk with you again soon, and read your comments.

Great topic and video, Aaron Marcus! I've had to turn down screenwriting and ghostwriting jobs, mainly because I had too much on my plate. Sometimes I took a job even though I was too busy, and it turned out horribly for me mentally and physically.

Aaron Marcus

That is a great point. I wish most actors were in that situation. Being too busy to take on other film projects. Sounds like you made a wise decision for yourself. Thank you so much for sharing.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Aaron Marcus.

Suzanne Bronson

Very true Maurice. I decided a few years ago that I would not take a job just because I need money. My mental health is so much more important than a toxic work environment. I believe the Divine always has my back and will honor that.

Aaron Marcus

Wonderful point Suzanne. And, we don't want to be a part of something that we are offended by or don't want to associate with. It is so important that we listen to ourselves to make good business and mental health decisions.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Maurice Vaughan

You're right, Suzanne Bronson. Mental health is so much more important than a toxic work environment. I've taken those kinds of jobs, and they stressed me out. They weren't worth it.
