I'm a scriptwriter from the UK and am visiting LA unexpectedly on 10, 12 & 12 April (it's a long story about taking a swerve in a holiday). I've got one meeting booked and so I'm taking the chance to visit the city - staying in Burbank - and I'd love to hear from any writers there who might tell me what it's like in LA? Where should I hang out? How do you keep writing in LA? How do you approach producers to read? I'm sure everyone will be too busy but I'll buy anyone a coffee if you want to meet?

Hey Tamsin, I hope your travels go well! While in Burbank, be sure to go to Porto's. (Cuban food and bakery.) There are also several studios here and many people love the WB lot tour. Mostly commenting to bump this up so your fellow writers can chime in and perhaps take you out for coffee!

Hi Tamsin - I'd recommend scheduling a Stage 32 meetup while you're in town - just go to "Meetups" on the top menu bar and pick a bar to have people come meet at. It will be a great way to meet fellow members in the community and make your trip in LA a success!
