Screenwriting : WeScreenplay analysts to recommend? by Brad Cooper

WeScreenplay analysts to recommend?

Hey friends. I used to be a fan of WeScreenplay's coverage service. I'd had three different analysts provide professional, actionable, fair coverage of my scripts. One of those three I stuck with and used multiple times since they seemed to get my style and goals.

However, that analyst no longer works with them and the last two coverages I've requested were worse than awful. They seemed amateurish and were not at all actionable. Flushed that money down the drain and they wouldn't provide me a refund or credit for another try.

Would anyone be willing to share the code numbers for analysts they trust at WeScreenplay?

Feel free to DM me if you'd prefer vs. sharing in the group.

Thanks much!

If you want feedback from a named source, considering using Stage 32 coverage or Script Reader Pro as both allow you to pick what you feel is the best reader for the script.

Most coverage services are hit and miss. I once did coverage for a pretty recognizable film festival and the threshold wasn't high. In many cases, it might boil down to a reader's personal preference in story content or morals or even just someone getting hung up on a few formatting errors.

Hi Brad Cooper! I don't have any code analysts' numbers over there (though I do know some of the internal team over there and know that there were some structural changes to readers within the last year, so maybe this is why you're getting the experience you are?). I will vouch for our own readers for Stage 32 since we make sure they all have over five years of industry experience. The best way to ensure you're getting feedback from someone you can trust though would be to pick out the person who's reading your script yourself, and for that I would recommend either Premium Development Notes or a Script Read & Consultation (I'll leave links below). I'm also happy to recommend some great fits for you if you shoot me an email at success@stage32.com and let me know what kinds of scripts you write :)

I'm sorry to hear that, Brad Cooper. It's not cool that they didn't provide you with a refund or credit. Take a look at what Stage 32 has to offer. Hopefully, you will find something you like.

Sorry to hear that Brad, I’ve been using CoverflyX for feedback recently, but I appreciate the heads up as I’m about level up and use that service to get some feedback on some of my work.

Brad Cooper, Wescreenplay Analysts are my favorites ever. I have used the same ones over and over because they get my franchise and have given notes on my 13 films and completely get my rock and roll epic and their notes have been exceptional. I have even gotten a 99, a 98, a 97 and 96s. I couldn't believe it. But the notes were there and soooo actionable. My 3 favorite Wescreenplay analysts are 6B5FME, SGA1 and GZVKO. All of those gave me 97 and better with solid notes.

Brad Cooper

Thanks so much, everyone! @daniel: perfect, I'll check them out! If you had to chose one, which is the best of the three?

Daniel Goudreau

Brad Cooper they are all great but give GZVKO a try. if not available try 6B5FME. I had spelled it wrong, go figure. It is def GZVKO. I just double checked.

Daniel Goudreau

Brad Cooper check above, I had letters reversed but its now correct.

Hans Bauer

well, natch, their singular goal is to make money, not to give it back.
