Scrivener compile settings

Does anyone know how to change the settings in scrivener so that when I compile a screenplay to a PDF it won't split dialog or action lines from one page to the next?

Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you are trying to force a page break. Why is it splitting lines? It may be to achieve proper formatting, for it is industry standard to split on a page break using (CONT'D), but this practice(CONT'D)is supposedly dated and on its way out, because it's useless, for a reader needs no prompt to turn a page; however, screenplay software usually requires the (CON'T'D) page to end with a complete sentence, so the last line of a page might only have the last word or two of a sentence and its period or question mark, which is the industry standard, or at least how I understand it, because you do not want half a sentence ending a page and half a sentence beginning the next page, as you might see in a book manuscript. I believe this screenplay standard has to do with readability for actors.

It's doing that last thing: ending a page with half a sentence and starting the next page with half a sentence. Both in dialog and action lines. Essentially, it's treating the formatting like a novel, even though I'm using the Screenplay template.

Sallie Olson Try this:: Select the text you want to avoid splitting, go to Format > Paragraph > Keep with the Next One?? (My Scrivener is in Spanish, so I don't know the exact name for this one in English, but it is right above the HTML one) > On.

Anthony Murphy Ahhh, yes I have that in my version, too. I'll give that a try tonight (running out the door shortly). Thank you!!!
