TRUMBO!! Saw this last night, bought the DVD at the $ Tree for $1.25.
I believe ALL PEOPLE IN THIS INDUSTRY ought to see it at least once.
THE ENDING: TRUMBO gives his speech (Academy)... IS SUCH A POINT TO REMEMBER ~
how ALL of the players in this horrific event, were ALL "victims" of that time period, which wreaked havoc & great shame - to many many people in the entertainment industry, their families, and costing some, their LIVES.... (were ALL "victims" of that time period - yes I just repeated this line again!).
Those words TRUMBO SPOKE were exactly what MY MOTHER STATED WHEN SHE WAS IMPRISONED. She mentions those exact words, when interviewed by Leslie STAHL of 60 MINUTES... way back just before Christmas 1993. IT AIRED January 1994 & repeated show 1999 (60 MINUTES SHOW).
I AM GREATLY HUMBLED by this film.
