Pixar Animation Studios will reduce its workforce later this year due to Disney's overall production trims and the cyclicality of animation staffing.
Maurice Vaughan

Yeah, it's sad to see this happen, Ashley Renee Smith. Hopefully they'll find work at other studios and companies.

Kevin Jackson

I definitely hope they find work at other studios or start their own thing.

Brian Smith

This is definitely unfortunate. It always sucks when the artists get the hammer dropped on them. Also, this is unfortunately symptomatic of the overall health of the whole entertainment inudustry. Animation is not immune, but I'm also confident that better days are ahead.

Sam Sokolow

Agree with Kevin Jackson and lean toward their own thing. It's a moment for independents to make quality entertainment en masse.

Bob Harper

The industry will not return to the salad days for artists, and I agree with Sam Sokolow and Kevin Jackson that artists should pursue their own thing.

Eon C. Rambally

I agree! Don't let circumstances stifle talent. Do your own thing! It's what I'm doing. Of course I have my own company name attached!
