Producing : IATSE Remains “Hopeful” About Finalizing Basic Agreement Before Teamsters Take Up Baton, Wages Still A Sticking Point by Richard "RB" Botto
The motivation seems to be there from both sides. Hasn't been overwhelmingly contentious and very little has been fought through the media. With international continuing to flourish, any stoppages would be a disaster. Have to believe the cooler heads see that.
Seems like everyone knows what's at risk here, Sam Sokolow. The fact that some progress has been made this early in the process and that peacocking has been kept to a minimum is promising.
The AMPTP would be utterly tone deaf not to realize the pain inflicted on workers, and the industry at large, by the protracted strikes of last year and their failure to settle within a reasonable time period, issues that should have been resolve more swiftly. Thank you for the insight RB!
Statistics I'll be following RB! Seems also there's some effected issues back here at home. Not official, but has alerted my attention, staying tuned in, as much as possible. Don't know how much local matters are connected, affected by international statistics, awaiting official news.
While it is challenging for some of us not to have our favorite content readily available to us, I am a firm believer that entertaining my family shouldn't come at the cost of an artist being able to feed their own. I hope there is equity involved and I hope producers and any other artist union that strikes gets all that they need from it and their voices are being heard.

I'm just so hopeful that it all comes together. Another strike will be such a blow to the people who need work most right now.

I think IATSE will get the contract they deserve, Richard "RB" Botto. "Nothing moves without the crew!"

At some point everyone has someone to answer to, Jack Binder. And for these companies, it's the Street. There can be only so much pain for so long.

Encouraging to read the comments and see the compassion and no doubt justified optimism. Here's to a satisfactory resolution for all.

Let's hope so, Pamela Jaye Smith. No winners in a stoppage.

Dust is in the air, Eon C. Rambally. Although there is much more stability internationally in pockets.
