Blue & Green Screen VS. The Sodium Vapor Process (1964 film)

Ever heard of "The Sodium Vapor Process"? In this video from "Corridor Crew", the method was revived after records of it being lost from a 1964 film! This is just fascinating as according to the video it presents an even better effect than a Blue Screen or Green Screen!

What is your opinion on this revived method and have you ever heard or learned about it? Pease view the link. I'd certainly like to hear your comments!

William Joseph Hill

This was a great video, Eon! Disney was really at the cutting edge of film tech -- such a superior process, but really hard to pull off, even with today's digital tech! Big fan of Corridor Crew too!

I haven't heard of The Sodium Vapor Process, Eon C. Rambally. It looks incredible! Do you think companies will start using it?

Eon C. Rambally

Big fan of Corridor Crew myself William Joseph Hill! They pulled off a major tech. effect. Maybe they can play a major part in promoting it to the industry!

Eon C. Rambally

Maurice Vaughan, as my previous answer suggest! If so then yes I can see major companies using it. Interesting!

Eon C. Rambally

Mark Deuce, very interesting indeed! I see this causing major attention, amongst industry professionals.

Comprehensive! Certainly, comprehensive and detailed Ernest Farino! I’ve read your comments and I’m in honest attempts, collectively processing all of this! Firstly, given the statistics you have portrayed and as a self styled inventor myself amongst other talent I must accordingly comment. It’s a significant occasion meeting here on this platform, “Stage 32”! Definitely therefore, I understand your perspectives and motivation for full details! Certainly, drawn to my assessment, this will have raised eyebrows of elevated intelligence, which presents obvious and most engaging instances for even compelling and supporting questions, topics and more. However temporarily, I have this simple, or apparently simple question, for now!

Q: Are there any other generally and/or presumably unknown, attempted, experimented, similar methods, or effects, you will like to comment on?

Mc Syter

My dream is to be American movie Acting

Eon C. Rambally

Mc Syter, you're welcome! Stage 32 has the relevant personals and courses to reach you and propel to relevant goals. A stage 32 moderator will contact you with information. Best!

Ernest Farino, Interesting and adequate comment! One of reasons for my previous detail is to achieve opinions by anticipations in responses. Your comment, “Many, many visual techniques have been developed….”, have propelled my response for collective ongoing opinions, on the subject of “technique”, whether previous or modern!

Certainly will appreciate your opinion and others concerning “technique”, (in the provided link), I’ve used for, “Animations”?!

Mike Boas

Ernest, thank you so much for your clarification! I would suggest you reach out to Corridor Digital with that very post. I pay for a subscription to their website, and they are incredibly dedicated to being accurate in their researched videos, and I’m sure would appreciate being corrected on some points you made.

They also need guests for their VFX Artists React series, and your expertise might be good for that. I see you worked on the Dune mini-series? They’ve talked a lot about the other two Dunes, but could use an expert on the Sci-Fi show. (That’s still my favorite adaptation, by the way.)

Eon C. Rambally

Maurice Vaughan, thanks for the information for Mc Syter.

Eon C. Rambally

Mike Boas, thanks for the intervention of information. Impressive!

You're welcome, Eon C. Rambally.

Evelyn Von Warnitz

Absolutely interesting post Eon C. Rambally! Always love the older productions so much more than some of the current ones - somehow I know why for this video. Thank you!

Eon C. Rambally

Understood Evelyn Von Warnitz! So much to be fascinated about statistics back then, to make enlightening and compelling stories, that positively grips the attention of an audience!
