Sean Pope, a seasoned production attorney, is here to help you untangle the basics of shepherding a project from the early initiation stage all the way through distribution with this comprehensive three-part legal course designed to equip filmmakers and producers with the essentials necessary for navigating the complex journey of bringing a film from conception, all the way to the audience. We will delve into the intricacies of production legal, mastering key concepts and strategies crucial for setting up the production entity, legal issue spotting and clearance related issues during the course of production, and ultimately delivering a film to a distributor.
Having worked on hundreds of films and episodic series, from scripted features to documentaries and docu-series, Sean will walk you through the essential elements you need to consider at each step of the production process, and will share example term sheets, clearance documents, and delivery schedules, as well as topical examples to illustrate common pitfalls.
