Hi, I'm Ajay, a professional copywriter and aspiring playwright.
After more than a decade of unfinished projects, failed novel attempts, and intermittent self-loathing, I recently completed the first creative endeavour with which I was actually happy. I know there's still a lot of work to do, but having a first draft of something I'm prepared to share with others has felt like a big step.
Now, I'm re-drafting my play, seeking additional feedback, and trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do with it next.
I look forward to engaging with the Stage 32 community and learning about the next steps. And, of course, if any members have advice on where to begin, it will always be gratefully received!
In the meantime, I'm excited to (hopefully) connect with some of you guys and see what the future holds!

Welcome to the community, Ajay Smith. Congratulations on completing your first creative endeavor!
One of the next steps is to network/build relationships, which you can do now while you rewrite your play. Here are some blogs about networking/building relationships: www.stage32.com/blog/tags/networking-41
Stage 32 has a great Authoring & Playwriting Lounge where you can get advice for the other next steps (www.stage32.com/lounge/playwriting).

Hello Ajay, I couldn't agree more with the fact that feeling you get when you finish your first draft and, It was a nice introduction. Your introduction was great and drew me in. Looking forward to seeing your work!

Good on you for taking those steps, Ajay Smith. I had a knowing laugh at your "intermittent self-loathing" line. Obviously, as a creative, support is everything and I believe you'll find a wealth of it within this incredible community. Fantastic to have you here.
