Hi everyone. When you write, " He speaks into a walkie talkie", do you still write: NAME (INTO WALKIE-TALKIE)? or, do you delete "He speaks into a walkie talkie" and just write: NAME (INTO WALKIE-TALKIE)?

I normally put it in the parentheses. Feels neater. Though I know there are strong views about what should be in the magic brackets and what shouldn't heh heh heh. ;-)

I format it like this, Georgette Skolnick:
NAME
(into walkie-talkie)
Or like this:
He speaks into a walkie-talkie.
NAME

Dan, thank you for the info. I knew it had a hyphen (see my post). Please excuse my brain. I'm a zombie from writing half the night with the ending of another script. You know how it is when you can't sleep because you're afraid you're going to forget your idea in the morning.

Dan, not a problem. Thank you for informing me walkie-talkie should not be in caps.

Think it's best practice to mention the walkie talkie once, then the rest of the time it will be understood. Don't want to muddy up the precious white space writing Walkie-Talkie over and over.
