Looking for help to complete my screenplay documentary

Hi…my name is John and I spent my 20th year of life in Vietnam. As a helicopter door gunner, I witness plenty from the combat side of that war. But after visiting an orphanage in Saigon, just before Christmas 1969, I was devastated by seeing how that war affected children. Then I realized how children are the most damaged victims of wars with no idea what to expect during wars and conflicts. After being troubled mentally by that war, in many ways, I began writing. My poem The War Child’s Eyes was converted into a song by an amazing young pianist. Then I decided to write a story/screenplay. The screenplay starts in Vietnam and ends at the Grammy Awards 15 years later. It is a wonderful story about a young Vietnamese girl and a dustoff medic who drops her at an orphanage after her mother and stepfather were killed. The medic and the girl were reunited at the Grammy Awards 15-16 years later. I am looking for someone to work with to edit and help get this screenplay in the hands of a great producer. This story should have great impact on the world today that is experiencing unnecessary wars and conflicts. Should win an Academy Award

Hi, John Nicholson. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Screenwriting Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge.

The Screenwriting Lounge isn’t the place to find a screenwriter. It’s a place for screenwriters to discuss topics about screenwriting, share content (like screenwriting articles and screenwriting videos), ask questions about screenwriting, swap scripts for feedback, ask for feedback on loglines/etc., and offer tips and advice on the craft and business of screenwriting.

You could post an ad on the Job Board (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).

You could also search the Browse Members section for a screenwriter (www.stage32.com/people?name=&location=&roles=Screenwriter).

Let me know if you have any questions.

Also, here are some blogs about networking that could help you find a great producer: www.stage32.com/blog/tags/networking-41
